Chapter President's Invitation
Posted almost 9 years ago by Erin Hallinan
Hello My fellow Critical Care Colleagues!!!
This is my favorite time of year...cooler weather, football, crackling fires, butternut squash soups, pumpkin everything, and the return of the academic year as the children, and perhaps some of us, return to school!! It also signals the beginning of the SCCC AACN's new year and I am excited to say that we have many great new things on the horizon this year!
I am happy to say that we have four new board members this year, young energetic professionals who love and embody nursing at its best, a new mission statement for the chapter, and a new stragegic plan to help each of us fulfill the needs of our community as well as our own personal and professional needs. I wish to share all that we have coming up in 2016-2017 at our September business/ dinner meeting on the 22nd at Vazanno's in Stratford. I would like to perosnally extend an invitation to each of you to come join us as we hear Clareen Wienek RN, PhD, ACNP, ACHPN AACN's National President come talk to us about this year's national theme "It Matters".
There has been a great deal of conversation in the last year in national platforms, social media, and on television about the role nurses play in healthcare and the contributions we make. Clareen's theme "It Matters" embodies the very spirit of nursing, the importance of our contributions, and the importance of taking care of ourselves and each other.
In an effort to give back to you, our chapter members, we have also made this dinner a "buy one get one free", register on our website and provide the name of a friend/ colleague and only pay for one dinner! So please come join us on Septmeber 22nd at Vazanno's Four Seasons in Startford at 6pm for an evening of fun, colleagiality, networking, a little business, and renewal of spirit!!! I look forward to seeing you there!
Please don't hesitate to come find/ approach me at the dinner and let me know what SCCC AACN can do for you!!!
Thank you!
