Free Educational Opportunity: End-of-Life Education for Critical Care Nurses

Purpose: The purpose of this educational program will be to educate critical care nurses about how to communicate more effectively with 1) the healthcare team during end-of-life situations and 2) the dying patient and the patient's family.
Benefits of attending this program: Critical care nurses may be better educated about effective ways to communicate with patients, families and other members of the healthcare team
Risks of attending this program: Having to attend this program outside of work hours on a day off, discussing past end-of-life situations may bring up painful memories.
Your participation in this program is completely voluntary and you may stop participating or withdraw from the program at any point without any consequence to you. All information provided by you during this program will be kept confidential and only the principal investigator will see your responses to the demographic form and pre/post tests.
This program has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board of Southern Connecticut State University.

Time: 7-8:30 pm
