Description
At Saint Francis Hospital, the Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Center is a 60-bed facility Connecticut’s only freestanding acute care rehabilitation hospital. Its focus is to restore the lives of people following serious illness or injury through programs for traumatic brain injury, stroke/neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine, spinal cord injuries and orthopedics. As a Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse your role will focus on caring for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy.

Description

Its focus is to restore the lives of people following serious illness or injury through programs for traumatic brain injury, stroke/neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine, spinal cord injuries and orthopedics. As a Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse your role will focus on caring for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as prescribed as well as monitoring for complications, infections, or changes in condition, responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote functional independence.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is mandatory. A BSN is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Experience: 2 years’ experience rehabilitation, orthopedic, or med-surg nursing preferred.
